Donations Welcome

Lifetime Potentials, Inc. (LPI) is a support for community living (SCL) waiver program which promotes community inclusion for intellectually and developmentally disabled participants. Lifetime Potentials Inc. fully recognizes each participant has the right to take a leading role in their life. Lifetime Potentials staff and management serve to support and empower each participant to take an active part in the decision-making processes of their life including but not limited to team meetings, goals, activities, and everyday choices.

It is our mission to support and assist participants in remaining connected with natural support networks by assisting in and encouraging communication as appropriate. To keep our mission alive, we seek to develop opportunities for the formation of new natural supports for the participant to be active in their community forming new relationships and support.

In providing our supports, we at LPI promote dignity and self-worth through respect, activity, choice, and encouragement while helping each participant to identify their own unique abilities and maximize their potential in order to promote pride and self-worth.

To continue providing such services, we at Lifetime Potentials Inc. are seeking donations of the following:

  • Cars: Cars can be used for teaching experiences such as basic vehicle maintenance; additionally, the cars could be used to assist the company and staff in getting the participants to school, work, doctor appointments, or other ventures which transportation is needed.

  • Cleaning Supplies: To assist us in keeping the residences and Adult Day Training Center cleaned and properly maintained.

  • Educational Equipment: Maps, books, work books, financial management activities, laptops, tablets, marker boards, art supplies, and teaching videos. The educational equipment will be used to build on functional academics needed in order to promote cognitive development.

  • Board Games: A great way to apply every day skills such as decision making, calculations, and perspectives (examples: Yahtzee, Clue, Life, etc.)

  • Outdoor/Indoor Exercise Equipment: To improve health and physical fitness in addition to promoting healthy stress reduction in our participants. (Treadmills, ellipticals, weights, etc.)

  • Monetary Donations: Monetary donations are used for the promotion of community involvement of the individuals such as, volunteerism, training costs, resume building, etiquette classes, amongst other possible developmental ventures. Monetary donations will also be applied to housing maintenance and the development and maintenance of office and ADT center.

  • Volunteer: LPI seeks volunteers for our Day Training center. Not only single volunteers, but also group volunteers, presenters, trainers for subjects (i.e. money management, career services, etc.). Our volunteers will need to pass a drug test and be cleared by KARES background check and must be 18 years or older. This is a great opportunity for human services students, speech pathology students, enthusiasts, nursing and social work students, college students seeking volunteerism, and those who have a big heart for helping others.

With the above suggested donations, the LPI SCL Program can continue providing high quality opportunities and support for our participants. Our duty is to give them a sense of purpose and we take full pride in the opportunities we can provide to ensure the participants are well supported in developing independent lives.
